Chapter 10 - Brother Against Brother

Matteo demanded the key.

Dorian refused.

Matteo demanded the trust.

Dorian refused again.

Then Matteo threatened Celeste.

That was when Alina intervened.

She arranged the exchange herself.

Dorian was furious.

But this time, he did something he had never done before.

He listened.

Alina’s plan used the original trust documents as bait while federal investigators, already building cases from August’s records, monitored the exchange.

Matteo arrived.

So did Viktor Soren.

And for the first time Dorian understood that Matteo had never been Soren’s partner.

He was his debtor.

Matteo had gambled away millions.

Soren owned him.

The betrayal had begun not with hatred, but desperation.

It did not excuse him.

But it explained everything.

When Soren attempted to flee, investigators closed in.

Celeste was recovered alive.

Matteo was arrested.

Dorian never raised a hand against his brother.

That surprised everyone.

Especially Matteo.

“You’re letting them take me?”

Dorian looked at him.

“No. I’m letting you answer for what you did.”
