Chapter 10 - Trevor's Last Offer
Trevor offered a deal.
Drop certain civil claims and he would reveal where the remaining money was hidden.
I declined.
Investigators found it anyway.
His attorneys withdrew from portions of the civil case.
His fitness company entered insolvency proceedings.
His public image collapsed.
Then he wrote me a letter.
Eight pages.
He called our marriage complicated.
He blamed pressure.
He blamed gambling.
He blamed Martin.
He blamed Hailey.
He blamed my success.
The only person Trevor barely blamed was Trevor.
I read two pages.
Then stopped.
Hailey asked what I would do with it.
I fed it into the shredder.
May you like
That was my answer.
