Harper requested a meeting with Luca.
Gabriel refused.
She arranged it anyway.
Luca arrived expecting Gabriel.
Instead, Harper sat alone in an abandoned church.
She placed the ledger between them.
“Your father lied to you,” she said.
Luca laughed.
Then he read.
His face changed.
Harper told him who she was.
Adrian's daughter.
The child his family had searched for without knowing why.
Luca could have taken her.
Instead, he asked:
“Why would Gabriel let you come?”
“He didn't.”
For the first time in years, Luca Salvatore laughed genuinely.
Then a sniper's laser appeared on Harper's chest.
Luca's smile vanished.
The shooter wasn't his.
Gabriel crashed through the side entrance.
