Chapter 14 - The Choice Gabriel Couldn’t Make

Gabriel woke in a private clinic.
Harper was gone.
On his bedside table she had left a note.
You saved me because I saved you. Now we're even. Let me finish this.
Gabriel tore out his IV.
Matteo tried to stop him.
Gabriel shoved him aside.
Every man in the organization mobilized.
But Gabriel wasn't thinking like a boss anymore.
He was thinking like an uncle.
Like a brother who had already failed one member of his family.
He would not fail another.
Meanwhile Harper entered Vincent's warehouse alone.
Vincent smiled.
“You really are Adrian's daughter.”
Harper looked at the armed men surrounding her.
“No.”
His smile faded.
“I'm Evelyn's daughter too.”
And Evelyn had taught her something the Vescari men never learned.
