Chapter 14 - Norah Finally Speaks

Arthur held no weapon.

Only a lighter.

Gasoline had already been poured through the building.

The past repeating itself.

Fire.

Threats.

Control.

Arthur told Norah to come with him.

She refused.

He threatened Leo.

She refused.

He called her useless.

Weak.

Ungrateful.

Norah listened.

Then she said the words she had waited seventeen years to say.

"You killed my mother."

Arthur's face changed.

Cameras recorded everything.

"I didn't mean for the fire—"

He stopped.

Too late.

The confession hung in the air.

Norah closed her eyes.

She had him.

May you like

Not through violence.

Through truth.
