Chapter 15 - The Debt Comes Home
Arthur was arrested.
The six-hundred-thousand-dollar debt became meaningless beside murder, fraud, conspiracy, and years of hidden crimes.
Leo destroyed the document Arthur had signed at the shipyard.
Norah watched the paper burn.
"You don't owe me anything," Leo said.
"I know."
He looked surprised.
Norah smiled faintly.
It was the first time she had said those words and believed them.
Arthur had spent years turning debt into a weapon.
