Trevor and Caroline booked a nearby hotel because the bedrooms were full.
Mom brought towels instead of demanding them.
Megan cooked dinner.
Nobody asked me to clean.
Nobody invited strangers.
Saturday evening, we ate seafood on the deck while the sun turned the ocean gold.
Rachel joined us.
Mom raised her glass.
"To Allison."
I narrowed my eyes suspiciously.
Everyone laughed.
Mom smiled.
